I started off with a publication background, writing articles, copywriting, doing graphic layouts and art direction. My major in Architecture and town planning, brought a spatial dimension to my love for retail, marketing and branding. To translate concepts, experiences and brand values into the spatial realm.

It was the cumulation of these different disciplines and values that led me to Elisava on Retail Design Summer Course. The course and the city left me with many lessons that I hold close to my heart.  The balance between creative exploration, expression, together with technical knowhow. The creative energy of the city and its residents left an immense influence on the direction of my work and creative outlook.

Upon my return to Singapore, I consolidated my interests in the disciplines of painting, writing, graphic design and architecture into an interdisciplinary design studio entitled The Folly Store. It’s a little silly, a little whimsical, just like an architectural folly, bringing delight.  Our latest spatial exploration is the folly pop-up museum store, where artworks are the collaterals that you can bring home. It was partially inspired by the museums in Barcelona! Hopefully it gets to pop-up across different cities!
