English version:

Last summer, the students of the Retail Design Master of Elisava had the opportunity to work on the design and assembly of the display windows in the new Flagship Store of the Football Club Barcelona. A commercial space located in the heart of La Rambla, in Barcelona, one of the most tourist and emblematic arteries of the city.
The concept of the winning proposal, conceived by the students Andrea DiZio, Belén García, Victoria Macoc and Paula Viciano, focuses on the conceptual idea of passion as a feeling that endures, that remains unchanged and that integrates the fans with the club. The idea refers to “that which brings us together”, the main title of the work.
The proposal conceives the new commercial space under the idea that visitors are passion that circulates through it and that their beats are an important part of the experience. With this conceptual approach, focused on the importance of the experience, we try to encourage the imagination of the public and invite them to explore the space and interact with it. An objective that implies a process of intrigue, attraction and, finally, path generation, not only in the access space, but not in the entire store. In this way, the tour is considered as a sensory experience that makes the public participate without forgetting the main and strategic objective: to guide and accompany visitors to the interior of the store.
The installation tries to provoque the visitor emotionally, trying to create an intimate bond that runs through the blood veins of Barça, and represents that link through an artistic and light assembly inspired by the circulatory system. The assembly was carried out using neon flexible tubes in the colors red and blue in reference to the colors of the Club. After the development with the students of the execution project and assembly diagrams, the installation has been carried out in previously assembled sections, to then carry out the final assemblies at the exhibition site and facilitating assembly times.
The Barça Store Canaletas is located at number 124 of La Rambla, and has 1,900 m2 divided into three floors, where you can find a wide range of official Club products, from sportswear to all kinds of gift items. This store, however, is very special, both for its location and historical context and for the concept, since it is planned as a space of 100% Barça experiences, and with the desire to give impulse to innovation and new technologies in retail.
The interior remodeling project has been carried out by the Capella García studio, by the architect Juli Capella, and has taken as inspiration decorative elements such as ceramics and iconographic details of Modernism and Newcentism, strongly rooted movements in Catalonia. All this has been done respecting and integrating the original decorative details of the building, such as columns and different works of wood and marble, which have great artistic value. A tribute to the emblems of the city of Barcelona and with a flagship that wants to be “more than a store”, to bring the local public closer and share the experience and values of the Club.
Elisava strengthens in this way its collaboration with another first level brand and closely linked to the city of Barcelona, by history and meaning. A partner of great value for the Master in Retail Design for its media nature, its scope and its commercial side, trusting the Master with creative freedom and the challenge of contributing to an improvement and recovery of the conceptual and creative window dressing lived years ago in the city from Barcelona.
